Prices, renewals, and reminder emails

At YaDominios you see the registration price and the renewal price from the very start. Before expiration you'll get several email reminders (around 30, 15, and 7 days ahead) plus the renewal invoice in advance, so your domain is never lost by oversight.
Transparent pricing
Every extension has two prices we show together: the registration price (first year) and the renewal price (following years). We don't use bait pricing that jumps at renewal: what you see is what you'll pay.
One price, every year
It's common in this industry to advertise a nearly free first year and then charge five or ten times more from the second one on. We don't, and not out of goodwill: our price is always calculated from the renewal cost, never from the first-year teaser.
That means the number you see when you buy is the number you'll see every year. No surprise on the anniversary — which is exactly when people find out their one-dollar domain costs twenty-one.
If your extension shows no price
When searching, you may find a domain marked as free but with no buy button, and a note saying we don't sell that extension yet. That's not a bug: we only publish a price for an extension once it's confirmed with the registrar.
We'd rather tell you that than show you an estimate that changes at checkout. Write to us and we'll register that extension for you.
When and how does it renew?
Domains are registered for terms of a year or more. On each domain's page in your dashboard there is an auto-renewal switch that YOU control:
- On: we charge you before expiration and, only if the payment completes, the domain renews. Nothing ever renews without your payment.
- Off: the domain will expire on its date; we warn you well ahead so you can decide.
The emails you'll get
So you never lose your domain, we remind you several times at your account email:

Important: keep your account email up to date; it's the only channel we use to reach you. Also check your spam folder and mark our emails as safe.
What if I don't renew in time?
Most extensions have a grace period (days after expiration when you can still renew at the normal price, though the domain stops working). After that comes a redemption period where recovering the domain carries a high extra cost. Beyond that, the domain is released and anyone can register it. Don't let it get there: renew on the first reminders.
