Late payments and service suspension

Updated: 2026-07-18 · YaDominios

If an invoice goes unpaid, you first get several email reminders. For hosting, after the reminder period the service is suspended (the site goes offline) until payment is settled; for domains, the grace and redemption periods apply. Once you pay, everything is restored.

Our process, transparent

  1. Reminder: we remind you about the pending invoice by email, several times.
  2. Suspension (hosting): if payment doesn't arrive after the reminders, the site is temporarily taken offline. Your files and data are not deleted during the retention period.
  3. Reactivation: once payment clears, we restore the service.
  4. Permanent removal: only if a long time passes without settling, the service is removed and data may be deleted. We always warn you first.

Domains are different

We don't “suspend” the domain: it follows its extension registry's rules. When it expires without renewal it stops working, enters a grace period (renew at normal price), then redemption (recovering it costs more), and finally is released to the public. That's why we insist on the renewal reminders.

How to avoid scares

  • Turn on auto-renewal for your domain.
  • Keep your email current and check the invoices in the dashboard.
  • If you have a one-off payment issue, write to us before the due date: we'd rather help you coordinate than suspend.

Frequently asked questions

Do I lose my files if I'm suspended for non-payment?

Not immediately. During the retention period your data is kept; once you pay, the site returns just as it was. Only very prolonged non-payment leads to permanent removal, always with notice.

How long does reactivation take after paying?

Usually minutes after payment clears.
